Julie Metz Design is a design firm specializing in book jacket design, as well as identity and brochure design. I opened my own firm in 1988. Cover designs have appeared in the AIGA 50 Books, 50 Covers Show, as well as Graphis and PRINT magazine.

Clients include: Random House, Simon and Schuster, HarperCollins, W W Norton, Warner Books, Bloomsbury USA, Graywolf Press, Doubleday, St. Martin's Press, Henry Holt, Andrews McMeel Publishing. Brochure design for AT&T has appeared in The Best of Brochure Design. Additional design projects have included art direction for promotional videos for Sony Classics, and identity and promotional design for The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.

I recently joined the Blue Mountain Gallery in New York City. I exhibited photography in May 2006 at the Van Brunt Gallery, Beacon, NY. Landscape paintings have also been exhibited at the Weaving Barn Gallery, Swan's Island, Maine. More art developments in the works for 2009.
